UWA for D7000 - used nikkor or used tokina - 12-24?

Hi Folks,

I have D7k, with 35mm f1.8, 85mm macro nikkor. I want to buy UWA for two reasons:
- To have more image in the photo ( A tall building can be covered much easier than with the lens that i have)
- A different view of the object.

I'm wondering if I should buy tokina 12-24 ($300-350) or nikkor 12-24 ($540) both from ebay. Please share your suggestions. Appreciate any help on this.

NOTE: Experience with Tamron macro was not so good, not sure if I can go with the 3rd party lens.

Both Tokina UWA lenses are very good. I recently tried out a used 12-24 on my 7k and was very pleased with the IQ, and I've heard nothing but good things about the 11-16. Third party lenses can be a crap shoot, but the reviews on the Tokina wides tend to be uniformly pretty good. Best bet is to try one out at a local dealer (if there are any left in your neck of the woods) and see what you think.
