I could have sworn on my 50mm 1.4 d lens I could control the aperture by using the on camera dial (with the lens ring set at min aperture)....but today its not working....I can only change using the ring on the lens.
In the auto modes the aperture is changing so the camera can change the setting without manually moving the ring.
Did I mis-remember being able to change aperture settings using the dial or is there something wrong?
Obviously not a big deal as there is a simple solution (use the ring) and everything seems to work fine on a G lens but I found this odd.
Is this normal?
