As the holiday season is coming, let's discuss some worth seeing places, with a great opportunity to shot pictures.

My favorite destination is Asia, and being more specific Nepal. It's cheap, safe and has a lot of different shooting opportunities, starting from himalayan mountains and ending in the chitwan national park. If any of You would like to go, I will say that a good season is right at the end of monsoons (around Sept/Oct) for really cheap accommodation and to avoid crowds, or January if You want to go to Chitwan for wildlife photography.

One place that I really love (but not really travel photography for me) is the Cadí-Moixeró national park, in Spain, then going up further in to the Pyrenees mountains. Autumn is perhaps the best time, as it isn't too hot, and the colours are absolutely spectacular, so are some of the sunsets.
Then there are lots of little, rustic villages, old textiles and coal mining colonies in the region. There are also a lot of places where you wouldn't expect to find traces of Gaudi and Dalí, but they are there.

There are also some really great festivals, which offer some superb photography, but these are usually spring to early summer.

This is about an hour and a half to two hours drive out of Barcelona and Girona, and about three quarters to an hours drive from Andorra.
