    I can't see the point in him getting the 35/1.8 as it is only just over a stop faster than what he has.

    Now that we know he actually has the 18-55 and is getting an SB600, all he needs is practice.

    Sorry i must have skipped missed the part where he mentioned that he has 18-55. Yeah in that case just get an external flash and practice a lot.
