    No, I haven't yet got one of these but my roommate did! We tested it out on my D90:

    At 1.8, it's sharp only in the center as the shallow DOV does not do well for corners:

    At 2.8, it's a bit more sharp overall. Granted these shots are hand held at not the highest shutter speeds.

    I definitely need to get myself one of these. It shows the nice saturated colors I like very well and is rather sharp. It seems to perform like a 1000 dollar lens. If Nikon keeps doing things like this, they will corner the market!

    And not really nitpicking, but sort of am at the same time, is the white balance a bit off in the picture?

    White balance was auto and there were three different types of light bulbs in the room. It's the best the D90 could do I guess.

    love this lens also. I got it soon after I bought my first camera(d60) and it is quite sharp. the dof can make it hard to use at times, but its part of the fun. my favorite lens so far :D
