Do we expect the D7000 price to drop because of the release of D5100?

well, im not that expert neither of dslr nor nikons, but it seems to me that the d7000 stays as different and higher product, while the d5100 seems an answer to the t2i t3i
    > let me add, a entry level dslr for video entusiasts <

in some aspects the d5100 might have got similar or better options (video aspects) - which might be fixed in the d7000 too, if they want - but in other aspects the d5100 is still down down there where its precursors are/were.

i'd expect more a firmware enhancement for the d7000 rather than a price drop. (considering that the d7000 is pretty 'new' camera, if it was 1-2 years old i'd expect a price drop and end of production)
