    If the D5100 has a "Night Vision" feature, I wonder if it will be like the Hologram AF on my old Sony Dsc F717. That feature actually worked quite nicely, although it freaked a few people out to suddenly have a laser crosshatch pattern show up on them.

    Nope, seems like Night vision is just a crazy ISO mode, probably crap though, if it was decent they would have added it to the D7000.

    You can do a "cross-hatch" AF light with the off camera flashes, its pretty cool. Much more event friendly than the AF light.
