    I thought we could post fireworks pictures exclusively here instead of the Photo-A-Day thread. Got the idea from Gentoo and his Bird ID thread. Lets see what you got.

    Even though I do a lot of 'fire work', fireworks have to be my bogey subject...

    This one was taken straight in to the ball of the explosion, and I was hand holding at the time.

    I cannot remember any details on it, apart from the fact that it was a D200 with a Sigma 17/70 on there...

    SeanN when I first read your post I thought you meant you were hand holding the firecracker while taking the picture! =0 Cool shot though. Reminds me of Star Wars.

    Was in Washington DC with friends for Independence day, so here's my shot in honor of that of fireworks over the capitol building, Washington Monument, and Lincoln Memorial. It's the best I could do without a tripod, which I was kicking myself over not bringing.
