Thanks adamz. I used the twilight mode on the HX1. In this mode the camera takes 10 shots at 6 or 10fps and then automatically stacks the pictures together to get the above shot. It works great with image stabilization and on static subjects. Focal length was at 620mm equivalent,I think. It's a 20X zoom and I stink at mathematics.
If the nikon road map is real then this is something the supposed "DR enhanced exposure mode" will work like.(supposedly,if true:)

Nice rich colors Connor. Was that taken with your 50mm Nikkor? I also like your skate park pictures. I've been meaning to stop by my local outdoor skate park to shoot some pics but the kids all run away when they see my beat up windowless van pull up. "Hey kid come ear, Let me take yo picture"

NikoDoby- Yes, that photo was taken with my 50mm nikkor. Hahaha, I've never really had to think about the skaters being afraid of you, considering most of the skateboarders i shoot are my age and skate with me on a regular basis. If you ever get a chance to shoot skateboarders, the key is two off camera flashes on opposite sides of the trick, shoot low, shadows are a good thing, and softboxes aren't necessary. good luck.
