monty: I'm not much of a dog person (meaning wanting to own one), but this is my favorite breed of dog. You captured their natural behavior well.

This is real wild golden eagle in action, will try and get closer to it next time. Did you know that they are feeding on smaller sized mammals like cats, foxes and even lambs?

@adamz - thanks for the tiger, fantastic, would you share with rest of us where do you find those beautiful animals, not all in the zoo I presume?Posted 3 years ago # -
I think adamz works as an animal control officer and he's just posting pictures of all the animals he's caught:^)

mb - mostly in the zoo or in some animal parks in different locations (mostly poland), unfortunately my income doesn't allow me (yet:)) to get necessary equipment for shooting real wildlife in the wild (so I'm always open to any kind of sponsorship:); as for tigers all of the shots were taken in one location - warsaw zoo, but in different times (I've shoot around 300 pictures to get the one picture posted above in this thread)
nikodoby - the only one common thing I have with animals on a daily basis is that I eat them and love to take pictures of them, apart from that I'm just developing some web apps and do creative accounting :)
monty - I love Your dog pictures, and this one really rocks
mb - as for Your picture, I really like the colors, and the texture of clouds, and if You would cropped it a little bit, so the bird would be in 1/3 from bottom left corner, You would actually end up with a nice poster to put on the wall

Edit: moving the original post with fireworks to that thread
Here's a shot from Washington DC of the 硫黄島/Iōtō/Iwo Jima Memorial

"Gentoo, nice capture, but I think the colorful reflection hides the colorful bird. What was mirrored on the water?"
Mostly trees, grass and other landscaping and the sky. This was Taken at my job inside Sea World at our Flamingo pond. Usually this pond is terrible for photography.

fraew - I like the first photo, especially the shadows on face
Quadrapixel - nice HDR, wouldn't mide if You levelize it a little bit
monty - once a gain a big surprise, excellent picture, one of the best automobiles picture I've ever seen!
mb - what's on this picture? nice colors
gentoo - nice colors and nice bird, how big crop it was?
Posted 3 years ago # -
adamz, I never pay much attention to the percentages when I crop So I have no clue.
Here's another non bird shot. I simply love how the colors come out even under florescent lighting

Today's image is from my Nikon FE, shot on Velvia 50 at last week's pride parade in NYC after my D200 ran out of batteries due to my charging negligence (good thing my FE was on me!).

Lazy Saturday afternoon in North Sydney. Usually lots of office workers walking about at this place but today the birds can relax.

@Gentoo – Cute non bird shot, and they say there is something wrong with D300 auto whitebalance.
@heartyfisher – not you my son hearty shooting doveus vulgaris.
@QuadraPixel – good example of what HDR can do, but you should have straitened your camera.
@adamz – it was just a peach in the blue glass bowl, shot was made at f/2.8 to show how beautiful the bokeh is on 50mm.
At last sun after days of rain.
