My flash is stuck on my camera.....anyone have this issue before and how did you fix it. I need to use my pocket wizard for a studio shoot and can't untill I get this darn flash unit off.....

I don't know if this is a Nikon problem, but on my old Nikon film camera (N8008s/F801s), after 6 month of use, the Flash went easily in the socket.. but I had to fight with it to take it out. I do not remember the flash model (The "antecessor" of the SB800)... and it was not a problem related to the lock lever. It seems that the flash contacts reacted differently if they are pushed up from the front or from the back.

Too late to help now, but spark-plug anti-seize is a good idea on your speedlight foot. Prevents the galvanic process dead. Haven't had a single stuck light since I started years ago.
Can't speak to the SB-600, but some of my older speedlights clearly had a plated brass foot plate and once the plating wears off the brass loves to corrode and stick.
