Welcome to the board Albert. I just typed "D7000 microphone" into the search box and came up this this thread. The search feature is very helpful. I haven't bought one yet but have already wished that I'd had one since buying my D7000. It's not only lens focus noise thats bothersome it's wind noise outside as well.
