Terrible frustration trying to change language to English and all I can is the Japanese character set. It just flat will not let me change. Help

i think regulator is correct. Third time is the charm.
well on task, i would look at your camera manual. That kind of stuff is in that. Also, if you threw out the manual/lost it, http://support.nikonusa.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/17008/~/user's-manual---d7000---guide-to-digital-photography there it is online, in ENGLISH and SPANISH!!! i hope that helps.

Why is it in the Japanese character set? It's not stolen is it? Do a camera reset. Push the "QUAL" and " +/-" buttons together for more than 2 seconds. The buttons have a green dot next to them.

So there was a sale of Japanese D7000s in the USA? Or maybe it was cheaper to fly to Japan, buy a D7000, and then fly back instead of going to Best Buy right? Or maybe someone thought it would be funny to change the character set on Norain's camera right? Or maybe...

BTW, in the past one of my friends changed my old nokia phone to arabic just for fun.. and was not easy to return it to a normal language :)
