    I have a D200, but I'd love something with a good higher ISO performance. I'm also thinking of trying some simple video such as some behind the scenes stuff. I've fantasized about someday owning a D3s and having my D200 as a back-up. Now I've been thinking that a D700/D7000 would give me great ISO(I know the D700 is not as good as the D3s for ISO, but head & shoulders above my D200) and video capabilities. Is the video on the D7000 better than on the D3s? I know nothing about video right now. Also, the combo would be cheaper by maybe $1500, right? Just thought I'd get some feedback, but here's the disclaimer...I wouldn't be able to do this until maybe July and who knows what's coming out this spring/summer.

    Your decision seems to have more to do with;
    1) How much you are willing to spend?
    2) If video is a relevant determining factor since you don't do anything with video now.
    3) What your need is - i.e. What are you planning to use your camera for.

    Iso - D3s - D700 - D7000

    The jump from a D200 to anything will be enormous. A D300s would be a huge jump. A D3s would seem like you landed on the moon.

    If you can spend almost $6,000 on a camera why are you asking us - Just do it.

    +1
    It's as if you are asking us if you should buy a BMW and a Porsche 911 or just go for an Enzo Ferrari.
    Besides this thread is just going to turn into another DX versus FX seesaw and there are plenty of those discussions already.
