Hi
Just wondering with all the price increases/rebates (and me interested in buying a D3):
WHAT IS THE LOWEST PRICE IN YOUR COUNTRY FOR A NIKON D3?
Please post country, price(If possible, converted to Euro/Dollar/Pound for easy comparison)

Just for curiosity, obviously: the lowest price here in brazil is 6.800 USD at Mercado Livre (a kind of brazilian e-Bay).

On kakaku, I can buy a D3 in Japan from a respectable dealer for 298,000円 which is 4,040$USD.

In Germany 3927,-- Euro incl. 19 percent German VAT, that translates to roughly 5.331 USD.
Without VAT 3.300 Euro, that's roughly 4.480 USD

(reputable dealer, non greymarket, yellow European warranty card, absolutely new and not used in any way, with box and all accessories, unopened box, in stock for immediate delivery etc. pp.).

So far, the lowest price I can find is 2980EUR/3848USD/2592GBP from a seller in Hong Kong. Brand new.
Anyone know of a place that can beat this price?

The best price here in Australia is 6,187.50 AUD = 4,360.49 USD (3,306.41 EUR)

It went up nearly $1300 dollars in the prce rise..

This is quite frustrating, the price has risen about 30% from christmas, a little longer and it will hit the launch price...

Any ideas or tips when the price will lower?
In not expecting a price of 2500 euros or so as in christmas, but I'd like not to pat more than 2950 EUR(current lowest from Hong Kong - 3915 USD - 3050 EUR)

In the current april addition of Outdoor Photographer, Broadway Photo Shop has the D3 listed at $3289.99 US. This is a reputable store, and I believe its located in New York. Their prices are always very low especially on DSLR bodies.

Sorry I checked their website http://www.BroadwayPhoto.com and the D3 is listed at $4,099 US...The D700 is $2,059 though not bad. D3X listed at $6,899. I guess the printed prices in the magazine are prices from before the price increase even though its an April 2009 Outdoor Photographer magazine...

D3 is well over 5500$ in most of Europe.
