Ok, here is a question for you seasoned pro's... I'm going to a public garden to take some photos next month (during middle of day). I'll shoot mostly from distances of around 5 to 15 feet however I'll also be picking up a Tokina 100mm 2.8 Macro lens to do some up close and personal shots as well.
My question is this.. I do not want to lug a tripod around with me so the question is what do you think the minimum shutter speed needs to be to get really tight/sharp photos? Yes, I realize that no matter what, I tripod is a plus. However, I have to imagine at shutter speeds fast enough, it should mitigate the need for a tripod to some extent. Is this true?
Anybody have any thoughts or experience with this?
