    Hello friends,

I'm a proud owner of a D7000 and have a question about using this camera with a teleconverter; more specifically the TC-17E II. Currently, I'm in the processes of getting the 70-200VR II 2.8 as my next major lens to be used with this teleconverter. My question is: does anyone have this combination? If so, could you please give me some feed back?

    Thanks,

    Ali

I used to use the tc-20eIII on my 70-200 vr II. it was sharp from f/8. I imagine the 17 is sharp by 5.6, maybe even 5.

i now use the 300 2.8 with the tc-20eiii and a d300s for birds. good results from f/8.

can post a couple of pics of the tc-20eiii on the 70-200 vrII and a d300s if you want.

Re your purchase. i see no reason not to do it. it should give you a good amount of reach.

I Like Gareth I use a tc-20eIII on the 70-200 and like Garth agree it needs stopping down to at least f 8
