Very sinister. Looks like a trophy room from a Predator movie. ;)

A classic Meissner effect shot jonny, great detail on the frost on the magnet.

@ja - They're at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto. They're in the 'interactive' section of the museum, but you can't touch them so I think they must be used for presentations in addition to being a damn fine collection. As for the photograph, I was rushed and shot wide with the Tokina 11-16mm to try to get the 'wow' factor, but having thought about it for a while, I would like to go back and frame out some of the photos within the photo. Something for me to do next time :)

Garie Beach on the South Coast of NSW, Australia (1 hour south of Sydney in the Royal National Park)

Really gusty and hazey/foggy day so it doesn't make for the best of photos. The water was also freezing so no swimming either, unfortunately.

A note of interest though, there were hundreds (I'm guessing) of dead birds lying on the beach. I heard it was due to a recent storm and the birds had washed up onto the sand. Must have been a few weeks prior to my visit as some had been reduced to skeletons.

Thanks :) Took a lot of work getting there though! Especially if it's a 3 hour hike after a wet month, you ate something funny for dinner the night before and the only toilet is at the end of the trek :S

That walk down to the beach was pretty hairy too...you can't see it but the ground pretty much drops away, so it wasn't a gentle stroll down lol

I think its time to start saving up for a wider lens. I like the photograph but i was not lucky enough for the wind to stop blowing.
