Hi all,
I have been reading this site for quite sometimes now.
I recently upgraded to d700 from d90. Currently I have 70-200 VR2 and a nikkor 50mm 1.8. As you can see, I am in need of a wide lens. I was thinking to sale my 70-200 and get myself 24-70 2.8 and a telephoto prime i.e 85 1.4D. However, I love my 70-200 dearly as it produce beautiful image and i think it is more versatile for outdoor, shooting a little girl running around compare to the 85 1.4. Plus the bokeh from 70-200 is just as good although it is heavy and a bit too long in the house.
I mainly shooting my 18 months daughter, however, photography has became my new hobby where I go out with friends and shoot people for portrait or pre-wedding.
By keeping the 70-200, i have been thinking of the 24 1.4 and the 35 1.4. I never use these lenses, so I am not sure how the different in focal length will effect the bokeh of the image. I can use the 24 1.4 for occasional landscape although i think the 35 can do that as well and both should be good for in door and low light. I have read that 24 1.4 is a better build lens, however, I am afraid it will be a bit too wide for my liking. 35 1.4 maybe suit me better but then I am afraid it won't be wide enough for landscape. Getting both will be nice, but I can't justify spending for both lenses just for a hobby.
Any informative suggestion will be much appreciated.
cheers
