I have been considering the combo above. Does anyone know whether the Sigma will be able to AF with the TC20E III? I assume that there will not be any mechanical problems because the rear element on the Sigma is recessed far enough.

I wouldn't try this combo, get either the sigma 2x or N70-200

I read that the IQ with both Nikon 70-200mm VR's with the TC-20E III leaves lots to be desired.
