Just today a good friend told me that he is ready to pull the trigger and get into professional video for weddings. He's been doing video for some time now through a school district... he's pretty good.
But with weddings on the horizon... he now needs to purchase his own equipment. He has always been supplied with cameras, non-DSLR.
He is looking at the 5DMII. (and getting a 70-200 2.8, 50 1.4, and a cheap wide angle if he can find one.)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I told him that Nikon does not have anything in this range. If he went to the 300s he would give up full frame, and if he went to the 3s he would give up another 2 or 3 grand.
Is the 5DMII purchase really the best option for videographers?
