Going to work #4: It's cold today, the 325 CI doors won't close, needs to hurry, a train to catch. Soft rock on the radio puts a right mood for the magnificent rising sun over the frozen horizon. Too bad the traffic is pushing, needs to go. Follow the thousands island river for a while, cross the bridge over it and the blinding sun lids the ice on the windshield, mmm… I should have waited for the heat to build-up, no time. Turn right to the longer but more beautiful route, pass along the golf course, music is good... the frost on the tree… such a rare scene, do I have the time? Too bad, need to show to my friend, shot #1 the golf course edge and #2 the river in front of it. Now I am really late… zoom over the tracks, still have time, shot #3, the train is coming…

Still an hour before arriving at work... Time to read a book and relax...Posted 2 years ago # -

Awesome shots everyone!
elvishefer.....one would have to of shot pictures of buffalo to realize how good that picture is of yours. They are so dark to shoot it's almost impossible to get that level of detail, excellent job!

@tycho - he was very friendly, ensured by the two electric wire fences and iron fence between us ;)
@ bland - thanks Bland. I got lucky with light (overcast day, diffuse light, with the sun position behind my right shoulder). In post I increased the fill light in Lightroom, which I believe lightens the mid tones to bring out some definition. Photo was shot at ISO 1600, 250mm (375mm dx) f/11 1/60th with the 70-200mm 2.8 and tce20-III, and he was standing very still.
@jcvert - nice color!

I'm running out of zoo photos; better get off my butt and shoot!

[D700, 35mm, 1/200 sec, f/1.4, ISO 1600]I took a wonder around some of the souks here in Dubai and came across a shoe stall...seemed as good a subject as any!
@jcvert1 - really like your shot!

@FlyFisher - nice view, I try to get to the coast to grab shots like that but tough to wake up early on days off.
