If you're in the UK prices are going up because of the VAT increase, any price decrease for the D7000 in 2011 is unlikely...plus it's still a rare camera because no one has any stock which again will keep prices high.
You might be better off buying a used D90 and when you come to sell you won't lose as much money ?

Wouldn't a D300s replacement drive it down a little bit? From what I've noticed the initial rush is near over and plenty of shops have it in stock. Just what ive seen here in london. Its a big price gap for new nikon equipment that incorporates 1080p video. £440 for d3100 to £1300 for d7k :(.
I see used d90 prices for £500 and see £600 brand new body only. Any good places for 2nd hand gear apart from ebay.
