Looks similar to Foolography's Unleashed series, which is much smaller.

Smells like spam or self promoting lusiya

lusiya is a registered user in China and has 2 posts on the boards. Of those 2 posts, exactly 2 of them are pimping this new GPS site.

    Thanks but no thanks!

Just curious, why would someone want GPS on their camera?

To geotag the location that the photo was taken. So you can go back later with mapping software and determine exactly where you took a particular shot.

Not that important in 90% of my photography, but would be very helpful when on vacation. Say you want to know where you went while walking around Venice and where a particular church was located. Trying to find it on a map if you have no idea where you were most of the time makes it a challenge.

I have shots taken in Burano that I have no idea where on the island I was. Not that big of a deal unless you want to tell a friend to be certain to go see it themselves or want to get back to that point yourself.

So that once you are big and famous people can go looking for your tripod marks in the soil and attempt to take the same shot :D

JorPet...that makes a lot of sense, I had never thought about that.

monty.....I seriously doubt that day will come. :)

I still think they need two models of every camera. One with all the gizmos on it and one without. It's all good but I think too much stuff on it scares a lot of people away from buying them.

I'm looking for this gadget: Sony GPS-CS3KA GPS Kit

You can insert a SD for tagging without computer, or download the log info to tag with a PC or Mac.

Any experience with it? It has good reviews at amazon.

Geotagging is so interesting! Just get back from hiking- Wudisen, a nice island with peaceful beaches and tamples, add some photos with geo info, and also my gears.
