That's a lovely piece of kit smarterchild. Now you're going to have to try and get hold of the Lee SW150 filter kit to go with it like me!
It's amazing what you can do with a 14mm on a FF isn't it :-) Have fun.

I don't care too much for a filter but I wish I could protect it like my other lenses. The 14-24 is certainly a special lens, I'm learned that today so far, I'll have to teach myself to not over use it for portraits

    You won't believe this…

Three weeks before Xmas I sent my MacBook Pro for repair (Faulty graphic card and superdrive), free of charge thanks to Apple Care. It took ten days to get it repaired but as the machine was on its way from the workshop to the shop where I had dropped it, the lorry which was carrying about 20 repaired computers - including mine - and a huge load of brand new MacBook Air, was hijacked by armed guys who took the two drivers as hostages. They were released unhurt after a few hours but the lorry was emptied of all its contents. Aaaaargh !
The insurance and the shop gave me a brand new MacBook Pro to replace my machine, so I did get a computer for Xmas although I did not want one !…

Best wishes to you all !

PS: This took place in the middle of Paris, so if you plan a trip to France, you know what to do… :o)

And what's wrong with that? I'm sure the Pope has been given many Qurans as gifts. All camera brands get along at my house. If Santa wants to give me a camera for Christmas then I'm not going to be upset if it's not a Nikon. Well OK maybe just a little :-)

Wow Bernard! That's some story. I'm glad the drivers weren't killed and that they got to spend another Christmas with there families.

Yes indeed Niko ! These two guys stayed a week in hospital because of the psychological shock, and I can understand it !
The other part of the story is that about 6 weeks previous to that, my Time Machine hard drive had failed and because of many other things I had to attend, I did not bother to get it repaired. As my computer froze due to its problems, I could not save my data before sending it for repair. Fortunately I always manually save my stuff on two other external drives, and the final damage was limited to 6 weeks of data which I was able to re-create within a few days (Mainly related to my Association). The morale of this story is Save ! Save ! Save ! :o)
