Hello, first sorry for bad english, but I'm learning.
I'm new to this forum, I'm from Brazil and went for help about the movies that the D3100 has done.
Recently bought the D3100 and it has been showing bright spots in his films.
It seems that for the D7000 will release a firmware, and the D3100? Has anyone seen this problem? I posted a video on youtube with the defect to see if anyone can help.

Seems like a dynamic range issue. I haven't heard of this problem elsewhere but you might want to send this to nikon... It may the compression that the D3100 uses...

kyoshinikon, very tanks for your help. I'm in direct contact with the Nikon, I would like to know if the problem is the same d7000.
The Nikon is having problems getting to see my video posted on the site and direct them at youtube they do not, as you may have issues.
I'm waiting for a position with them now.
I changed various settings to see if anything changed, but not getting success in any of them. I have left and maybe even hope someone here can help me the forum too.

That doesn't look normal to me. I've shot a number of test videos with the D3100 and never seen artifacts like that.

Looks like an encoding failure with macroblocks on high contrast edges. Does it always happen in such high contrast situations?

Regardless, it should not be happening.

Is this what you see when viewing video on the camera's LCD screen? What software and computer are you using when downloading your video files from the D3100? Are you editing your videos with software? This looks more like a computer software problem than a problem with the camera.

Hi, when watching on camera what I see in place of the white dots are many green spots. Already downloaded the video directly from camera to computer, I've used the software that comes on the camera, NX2 view and nothing takes away the flaws ... not believe it is computer or software problem ... following a viewing screen inside the program from Nikon, see.
I posted a screen where you see the video.

    Looks like settings to me.

Were you shooting through glass? There were allot of reflections from windows behind you that may be having an effect.

Look again, and look at the jpg he posted. It is clearly not a setting or a reflection issue.

It is also, looking at the jpg, not only seen on high-contrast edges like I first asked.

I've never seen these artifacts on my D7000. Sounds like a camera issue to me. I'd get a replacement 3100 if you can.
