Thanks Abhinav.
This one's straight out of the camera with the Picture Control set to Vivid. Used the 70-300VR at 300mm.

Not sure what it was spying on but after this shot he went into a completely vertical stance and stayed there for a couple of minutes. This was the better image.

@stan, tycho - neat use of color!
@skid, reenz - cute kids
@pb, stan - either of you ever try ice macro? I haven't had a good day for icicles here but it's on my to-try list.
I took a quick run through downtown Toronto before I started my commute home, and got a bunch of handheld, high ISO b&w that I'll be inflicting on you all for the next few days.

This is what we sent out for holiday cards this year. It's a photo of my baby boy stuck in the chimney because he's too fat to fit, which I played around with when writing the messaging on the card. I found the rooftop, sky and chimney in one image and the snowy city in another, then drew the city holiday lights with the paintbrush, blurring as they grew further away. It was a really fun project. I hope my friends and family likes it.

I've spent years trying to catch a picture of a Red Tail Hawk and this morning it finally came true. It's a female so there's no red tail but what a beautiful hawk she is.
