I've compared the specs of the D7000 and the D300s a few times but still haven't made up my mind, so I'm seeking the advice of other Nikon enthusiasts. I've been shooting with a D40x for about two years and I think I've outgrown the camera. I can afford to buy a D7000 kit, but I'd still like to get the best deal. There quite a few D300s bodies on eBay that end up selling for less than $1000. Photo quality is a lot more important to me than video quality, and low-light performance is also a priority.
So what do people think? My inclination is to go for a good deal on a 300s body and spend the extra money on glass, but for some reason the 7000 is appealing to me. Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks.
