Is Nikon going to update the firmware so I can shoot at 25fps, The camera is pretty much useless without it, everyone knows that in indie film making, which Canon have been supporting for over two years. You need to submit films at 25fps for showing at festivals, for years TV was shooting 24fps but now they are moving over to 25fps, soon 24fps will be obsolete so what is Nikon doing about it. Come on Nikon get with the program wake up, we don't need 720, who shoots 720, no one. 1080p at 24/25 and 30fps or its a lost race.

wait for the d700
d7000 is still a consumer camera.Posted 2 years ago # -
Who shoots 720? i shoot 720@30fps, because i want something for home use that captures as much as possible.
in my opinion the 720p at 30fps is more important than 1080p because i have neither the Hard drive space nor the horsepower to play/edit it and i get the most fluid motion possible.
And to correct the post above mine, its pretty much certain that the D400,D800 and D4(if thats what they are all called) will do 1080p at whatever speed you want. They might even do 2k. Who knows? the D4x might challenge the RED and do 4k.
The point is that this camera is not designed for you, and while it might be capable of 25fps, they need some feature differentiation for their better cameras. So an upgrade will probably never come.
