So hows Nikons customer service been for you? In my case, i cant say its anything above atrocious. How many times does it take for Nikon to make their customers happy. So it started out with having a hot pixel that was etremely noticeable in video and would often be noticeable in photos as-well. After them sending me the same camera with failed attempts at solving the issue, i was sent a replacement camera. Being a brand new camera, you would think little could go wrong, correct? Well with my luck i get a camera with a dead pixel on the LCD easily available even a dead bat can spot it out. According to Nikon, checking the white balance and checking the flash sync etc. They sent it back without calling and letting me know they could not resolve the issue. That was not the first time i was sent my D5000 back without them noticing the problem. So its been over 4 months without my D5000 and im not a happy camper. Its almost like every time i call, the managers are always on vacation. Nikon must give them a nice amount of vacation time. If i request a call back from a manager, my call is never returned. I have been lied to by a service adviser by the name of "Name Deleted", and have been jerked around to no end. As a result of my D5000 being away for so long, i went out and bought a 6 year old used Canon Xt and it does not have a single dead pixel or hot pixel. Not saying i enjoy using it but it does not have a single issue. I have 1500 dollars in hand and i was about to go purchase a new D7000 friday but after having to send the D5000 in for the 7th time, im having an extremely difficult time dishing out such a large amount of cash as i am only 16 years old. So lets see if they can get a tech that is not mentally retarded to solve my problem of mine.
