Has any one compared these two lens? I only have nikon lenses but the reviews seem to show the two lens about opticaly equal. The Tamron is about half the price and has a $100 rebate. I do not plan to make this my prime lens but there are times when I whish I had this focal length zoom. Any suggestions out there?
