I'd have to disagree with you on the comparison.
Where are the witty remarks? Creative camera work? Hasselblads, Phase Ones, Leafs and Mamiyas with the occasional Canon or Nikon mocked for the purpose of just having it mentioned.
More like Junkyard Wars or Smash Labs for photography. :D

you have a point, this video doesn't come across as "top gear". I would suggest to go and watch some of the other videos via youtube. They dont always test just the "high end" cameras. They DO test the brands you spoke of, but most of the time, its about nikon, canon, sony, panasonic, etc etc. He does do all different sorts of videos as well. This video is part of the "challenges" that Kai, the host, gets to do every once and awhile. Some of the better challenges was painting a d90 pink and making your own 3d camera. Here is the d90 link:

If you want to see him at his most serious, watch the d90 vs 550d durability test. Its full of laughs and i was really surprised at the end.
lastly, make sure you watch in 1080.
