I was watching tonight new episode of Dexter and i noticed, that ALL of the cameras in the forensics department use Nikon!! He even had a macro/micro ring flash on his setup. Anyway, i went back and watched a few early episodes to see what he was using, and he used an Olympus but soon switched to Nikon. Anyone else know of tv shows, where the characters use Nikon??
PS, in one of the back episodes i watched, the "bad" guy was a Canon user... hahahaha
I think CSI, NCIS also use nikons. NCIS had a d200 afaik.
Doesn't matter really. I still see novices jumping on a Canon all the time. I don't know what it is but Canon rebels are quite attractive to the novice buyers.
I guess Nikon was more willing to pay to have their cameras used than Canon.
It is pure advertising with nothing else behind it, if some company isn't willing to pay for having their cameras used, you will see a site usual among news photographers who have 3rd party neck straps and black tape over the camera make and model.
I noticed they were using a P7000 in CSI episode 8 season 11 called "Fracked".
The Wire, Series One they have a very thin long telephoto on an old nikon, they use to photo the drug deals in 'The Towers'. Love that show.
Not really a TV show, but I think the movie Ronin did show off a Nikon when they were at the Roman ruins.
In last night's CSI:NY Sela Ward was taking images on a F4 ?
I was watching the karate kid part 2 yearurday and saw someone carrying a bag and it had nikon F3 on it. I wonder if it was a bag you got if you bought the camera at the store. Seemed official
It struck me today when watching the Formula one that almost all sport pro's use C***ns! Anybody know why?
Hi spraynpray, I know a few and from what I can gather it's to do with Canon being first to bring out a body that sports photographers were willing to ditch their film gear for. Since then Nikon caught up, and probably passed, with the D3 series but by that stage many had built up kits and were unwilling to change due to the massive costs of long telephotos.
PS how close was Schumacher to being decapitated by Liuzzi...very lucky !

The Dexter baddie was the child stalker, Season 3 Episode 3. The stalker was taking pics of young girls on the beach. Dex broke into his house, and saw he had some pics of Astor on his computer. He wasted no time getting rid of him.
Anyway the stalker had a Canon and a telephoto lens . . . I think Dexter really killed him because of the Canon.
Lol segura, i missed that whole part about him being a child stalker. I too agree that Dexter killed him because he was a Canon user. Likely, because he was standing outside his local camera shop bragging about his L lens.
Also, on Tonights dexter, (SPOILER) The PI got pictures of Dexter and Lumen dumping bodies. He was using Nikon as well and had a MASSIVE lens. EPIC FAIL, NO TRIPOD!!

well sorry. i did put a spoiler warning. Also, you are right, Stan Liddy is a bad cop, but he is doing private investigations for Quinn. Easy to confuse i suppose.
Watched "The American" last night, not up to much as a film but it was made by photographer Anton Corbjin and is beautifully shot. Clooney pretends to be a photographer, he uses a Nikon but it was too quick for me to recognize, some others have said it was a F6.

I saw Jim Brandenburg (National Geo, nature guy) talk a little more than a year ago, he used to shoot Nikon but now uses C*****. He said in a passing comment "C***** has been very good to me". Not sure but I think that means they pay him something to use their product ;-).
