This is my first pic post. Not quite sure how to get the pic to actually show while linked to the flickr page. I went to the "how to post pic" link but can't quite get it right.
Anyway. First pic. Nikon D7000, 16-85mm Nikkor lens at 16mm. Forgot that I still had Picture Control set on Vivid which resulted in very rich color rendition. I know the image is a bit busy on the right side but just wanted to share a shot on the same forum as the rest of these fascinating photos.

RX4 on flickr just click the "Share This" button on the top left above your photo. Then click "Grab the HTML/BBCode". Make sure you select a size that is smaller than 800px on it's longest side and copy paste the HTML code into your post here.
For example the HTML code for your photo above looks like this:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/56259053@N04/5202286213/" title="_RJP0333a by rperry.pharmd, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4125/5202286213_8171d38979.jpg" width="500" height="286" alt="_RJP0333a" /></a>You don't have to type that all out just copy paste directly from flickr.

Bland - Thanks, I travel to lots of rigs so they are one of my main subjects. I don't know who the maker of that rig was. It was an american made triple with a top drive.
Here is one from canada - I was working on getting a movement blur on the blocks

Awesome night shot, FlyFisher! Never leave the oil patch, I've missed it ever day since I left it back in the late 80's. I worked on the North Slope, Lower 48 and South America.

@Squamish nice shot. is that a black vulture?Posted 2 years ago # -
Thanks. Its actually a turkey vulture. The eagles were harassing him pretty bad, which is why he ended up in this tree. I took shots of him while I was hiding behind a log on the sand, but then I realized that he didn't seem to care about me in the slightest. So, I walked right up to him, keeping him framed and my eye on the finder as I stumbled along the sand, and he just sat there and looked hungry. Even the ducks were chowing down on the salmon scraps while he sulked in the tree. :]
Killer fighter plane capture, btw. The detail is amazing, especially the gold shimmer of the canopy and the vapor on the wings.

I saw some of the shots those guys took with those D3s and they were incredible. I found it funny that the guy on the right was shooting me with my D90. He must of been remembering the good ole days when he was free to roam in shooting anything he wished. I truly envy pro photographers such as them because there's no joy sitting in those chairs shooting that same shot over and over for 4 1/2 hours, not to mention the editing once they get back to their office.

I doubt those guys even do their own PP work. Most news papers just want unaltered out of camera jpgs.
