In light of this new Best Buy newsletter found and posted on this site, could the Q be just a placeholder letter for the new DSLR? Could the 750 be the real name and not the D800 as everyone speculated?
Could Q750 mean D750?

yeah it could be, may be nikon want the stores to have it before it officially launches so as to avoid the mess they have created by launching d7000 more than a month ago and not being available in the stores / retails even after 1 month.

I am 50/50 at believing it's the new D800. I wish and I lean towards it. But at the same time it could just be the D7000 or new evil camera

Some people on the main blog pointed out that Q750 is a part number for best buy shelving units or something like that. Might not even be a Nikon product.

Might not even be a Nikon product.I don't have much faith in there being a new product that only Best Buys knows about. Nikon is good , but not that good in keeping info secret. We would be having a lot more rumors coming in. A new Nikon camera isn't just going to pop out of nowhere and show up on Best Buy's system.
Nothing to see here. Move along. False alarm.

"q" may be a typo if the data entry person was entering from something hand written. the guy writing d750 may have had the "d" looking more like a "q"...

It is a "working title", not an eBay or Best Buy classification or a typo. I think that it was mentioned even on the forums here: the Q660 (i think) was the "working title" for D3s.

If Best Buy stocks the D700 upgrade, I highly doubt it will be in stores for the price point it will sell at. I'm sure it will be online and ship to store only.

Since Best Buy was buying MTI smart cables to tether a new camera to the display counters,it was probably nothing more than the code name for the new D7000.
