This brand new seller just popped up on Amazon with several used DSLR's way, way below what they should be going for. Looks too good to be true. They also have a Canon 5d MkII for $1200. WOW!

There's absolutely no write-ups or descriptions, though! I was close to pulling the trigger, because I know Amazon protects the buyers, but I am still skeptical.

Sorry, I call bullshit on this. Ebay is starting to look like a jungle and a "con" club, and amazon must be following.

It's a new seller, there is no way that those prices or cameras are real, for the simple reason that there are people ready to pay much more for them, so no one is going to sell them at that price.

Also, a word of advise, from time to time, they also hack the account of a respectable seller and try the trick again.

You see a seller with 99% or 100% rating, selling those things, problem is, just a week before that seller only had tshirts and cloth...

It's a wild wild world out there.

If you don't get the item, you will get reimbursed, especially paying via credit card. All you would have to do would be to dispute it with your own credit card because of non receipt of goods. Either way, you wouldn't be reponsible.

The bigger problem is tying up your funds for a month, waiting to sort it out if it never arrives.

I say scam. Especially since the link no longer works. Amazon might have caught on.

Amazon ought to require the seller's to put in valid tracking numbers for transactions over a certain price point. They currently have a new system where sellers have to click that they've shipped an item, before they get paid for it. Tracking info is optional. If they made it mandatory, and didn't pay out the sellers who provided working and initially scanned tracking info, it could weed out the scams.
