I'd like to see a picture of THAT!
where there’s smoke there’s forum fire
Nice stuff again this month. Here is a scan from my ILford HP5 Plus 400 speed negative. I scanned it on my flatbed and processed through lightroom, CS4, then slightly in Noise Ninja. I tried to leave that black and white noise/grain in it. It was shot with an F100 and the 14-24mm.

studio460: OMG, Double Rainbow!
Yup! In another part of the city, L.A. Daily News photographer, Gene Blevins, got the best shot: rainbow, lighting strike, Hollywood sign, and a helicopter, all in one frame!
I don't know if this local news station link is permitted here, but it's an amazing shot:

studio460 - especially for You

@Stanlm: Superb.
How much was your gimball head, Adam? And when did your f-mount adapter come?
Nice stuff, everyone.
ja - I'm using Jobu Design BWG-J2 Black Widow Jr. 2 Gimbal Tripod Head with HM-J2 Bracket, got it from BH for +/- $250, it's better than Wimberlay IMHO, as it's more versatile - You can remove the bracket and it will still work and You gonna save some weight. this particular model is designed to handel lenses up to 400/4 (500/5.6) with heavy body (d3) or 300/2.8 with some lighter d300s ones. as for the clamp it accepts all arca-swiss plates (I'm using it with kirk and wimberlay plates).
Amazing capture, stanlm!
Adam you must have big Polish pockets to carry that "point & shoot" around with you!
Wonderful kanuck and stanim. Also abhinav, Where is that?

not a good shot but got a roll of Fuji provia slide film back. First time using slide and i love the results and at a fair price for dev+mounting+scans for 10$!
Hi all,
Butterflies, mushrooms, and rainbows, terrific all!

Smarterchild be careful shooting slide film is highly addictive! I am working on some scanned images from Velvia 50, 100 and Provia 100 right now as well. Your scan looks nice they did a good job. The photo itself is quality also.
Great shot regulator. Looks like some ND filters were used? Very nice.

Excellent fall shot Treckie! Thats the kind of shot I hope to get in the next fews weeks. Lots of color and great composition. The relection with colors is an excellent choice as well. Nicely done.
