it will work, but You will not get all the benefits of getting info from lenses, but as for results it works quite good, I sometimes use it as a remote flash and works quite good with SB-800 in a remote mode

just checked it - TTL is working on d200 with sb-80dx, iTTL is not supported.

checked once again, and indeed the sb800 shows the ttl on it screen, but the You can't release the shutter, as there is some kind of lock build in, so basically it means that sb800 will not work on d200 in TTL, but works in all manual modesPosted 3 years ago #
