Squamish: Your photo of the rock climbing girl is REALLY great. It is sexy, exciting, scary; truly it elicits all kinds of emotions. Sooooo, how did you get that shot?

@ foofie - lovely, especially the one on page 2. How do you get those wonderful retro colors...
@ shigzeo - fireworks picture is very well done!!! And with the other picture: you proved her wrong.
@ studio460 - your photo on page 2 takes my breath away, seriously! One of the best street photography pictures I've ever seen...not just because of the light 'caressing' the girl, but the composition is perfect too. Beautiful!Posted 2 years ago # -

So far, my favorites for this month are Adamz and Kanuck sceneries on page 1 but there are so many other good ones. I like your work Abhinav.

This one just a grab shot testing out a D3s that impressed me. I was trying harsh lighting conditions. No flash was used. Tomorrow a dark part of the bar.

@squamish stunning photo!
@pierre beautiful shot, what lens is that and what what focal length? Looks pretty wide+you starting to see some of the lens curve, especially on that smaller white house.@ArthurH It is/was my first time playing around with lightning during post processing. Usually I only play around withe the black levels and contrast, however I knew the girl would want that "hip engagement photo" look, so I went wild in lightroom. For the most part I think they turned out pretty well, and it was a good lesson for me to learn that digital post processing does have its place. I tend to try and stick with just what I'd be able to do in the dark room otherwise.

First post in this topic... Boy, there are some great photos in here!

Dunno if critique & criticism is promoted here, but I'd appreciate it. :)

@Squamish: The photo would look better it you were to edit-out the HDR artifact in your sky, nevertheless a good shot.
@padlockd, I like the tower and its color, it looks like the belly of an animal, it would had been interresting to have a perfectly symmetrical and/or vertical shot.

shot.I did exactly that when I printed it, but didn't mind it much for flickr. New to HDR, so thanks for the constructive criticism. :]

Isn't there some kind of copyright issue with the Eiffel tower at night? ;-) I agree with pierre's symmetry comment, but I don't know if that was possible.
