For the love of god, do not buy cheap blowers off sites like D***E****** like I did...
So here I am blowing my lens for the first time and WTF it was covered in all this white shit all of a sudden....
F*** this, I'm cutting the blower open and BAM look what I found!!!

Dealextreme is fine for most things.

It did come off with a wipe and LUCKY I didn't use it on the sensor.
The white powder is kinda like the stuff you find inside whoopee cushions, except stickier (which made is sooo much worse).

It's essentially counterfeit stuff.
It's good for stuff you want to cheap out on, but cleaning tools for your stuff should not be cheaped out on.

that's happen when You try to save couple $ and buy shitty products. get giottos air blower next time. I never understand, why ppl spend hunders or even thousands of dollars on their equipment and save on accessories (I'm not saying that this was Your case SimoHDK, although it's interesting that You haven't try to use this blower w/o lens first - which makes me very suspicious about Your post, I've also hashed the company name till further investigation)

reg - it's not that easy to import stuff to some of the countries. I know that it might look easy for You but trust me, USA, EU are in much better situation than some of the countries in Asia or Africa.

Wow thats shocking I feel for you what a horrible story. I just picked up the Giottos Rocket Air blower after seeing Steve Huff using it on his M9 on youtube, and its really great. They are quite cheap I picked up mine from my local shop in South Korea for just $10. I hope your relatives can hook you up!
abinav - try Connaught Place - under market, there are few stores over there that might have giottos, as they sell "imported" stuff under the table. You can also ask for it at the Nehru market (this market close to embassies, there's a camera store that might have it) and BTW nice city You live in, did they finished the subway from the airport already or is it still under development?
@adamz : yep ,I have tried both CP and chandni chowk but to no avail.Will try Nehru market that you're pointing out .
Regarding Airport service : its under trial run and should be up within a week or two before commonweath games ,Delhi 2010 starts .
Abhinav, just curious have you tried the obvious Ebay yet? They are quite cheap so it wouldn't have to be shipped as a gift and there are plenty of trustworthy shops on there as well. I get difficult things to find on Ebay shipped to where I live currently in South Korea like lenscoating for my tripod's legs, or a hoodman 3.0 Loupe for my LCD both things you could never find otherwise.
Get an 8 Oz Enema Syringe!! It has more blowing capacity than the Giottos (I know, I have both), it's cheaper and it's Sterile!!
I have the brand, Product Number and info, I got mine at Walgreens, I had to special Order it, but.. Got it in 3 days.
@kanuck: usually ,I keep ebay as a last resort since you never know what item you get from there (I'm talking about fake items ).
