Unfortunately it's from canon but interesting nonetheless. So would you guys want a similar $1400 dollar Nikon version?

They also launched a new $1500 dollar version of the EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS USM, A 300mm and 400mm f2.8 L, and a 500mm and 600mm f4 L lenses.

I would want the fisheye, but Nikon might put VR on it and charge $1900

Why would nikon waste money putting vr into a lens which is handholdable for nearly a second?
I use my 10.5mm fisheye for between 1second and 1/10th and i have no handshake.

A $1500 70-300? I want to know what the target audience is for this lens... how much is Canon's 300 f/4?

Yes very interesting lens! A fisheye that zooms is very cool. Heartyfisher you are probably right, Nikon would slap some Nano cystal on theirs, add VR and make it another $2000+ lens for their lineup. :(
