Hello,
I would like to purchase a new Nikon camera. Unfortunately it is the D90 which will be replaced soon. The D90 is a great camera, but its successor, rumoured to be the D8000, will be announced soon. How long do you think it will be before for the D90 is replaced? Will it be within weeks? Months? And will it be a big improvement? Will the new camera cost more than the current D90? Nikon’s history shows that it will be replaced within the month, but I’m not sure. Do you recommend buying the D90 now or waiting for the D8000? When do you think that the D8000 will go on sale?
Thanks for answering all of my questions!

Please read through the thread directly below this one titled "D90 replacement discussion- rumored specs and reactions". You'll find the price and specs there. Expected announcement in about two weeks or in September. It'll be more expensive then the current D90 and probably go on sale in early to mid October 2010. but it will sell out quick and might be hard to find in stock.
