At first I didn't like it, but it grows on you. I do find the text a little easier on the eyes.

Please....if you must change give us an option like Internet Explorer....to choose color background. Black set the site apart from other mundane sites.....stick with what was working great for most people.

White, gray, black, take your pick, Admin. While I do like the serifed face used on photo.net's site (it "fits" their site), I think I prefer the sans serif face used currently on NR's forum for this site. Less "literary," more "tech-centric."
However, if you're going for a "news-ey," newsprint motif, the serifed face would better mimic that, but, perhaps with a slightly smaller size, and just a bit tighter leading?

I find that itr is easier to read on black and less of a strain on the eyes...

black is very classy and different from all other sites, it would be good to stay with black. Also, it reminds of the camera body/lens (unlike Canon which is grey!!)

stay black, i like the Nikon-like black yellow combo.
and i seem to read black backgrounds better.

Change the outside black background to dark gray and the white inside background won't seem so bright........just a thought!

The forum will stay black, I will give the option to change the background on the blog - it will just take me some time to work out all the details (I have to manually reverse all colors in the blog template/theme). The default theme on the blog will be white.

I just read this when this thread got bumped, studio. So are you also into graphic design? You seem to know your fonts. For what it's worth, I don't think the fonts here on the forum should be changed, either.
