Some time in the 90s I was registering at a local chat site and "monty" was already taken, so I chose "monty11". The name comes of course from Monty Python.

JorPet, did you by any chance work for a Fin or Swe company back in the 80s?
where there’s smoke there’s forum fire

Simply my initials, and state I reside. I know, boring.
Mine came from turning up at the pistol club with a 30 round mag for my Glock. I could have called myself 'load on Saturday and shoot all week' but 'Spraynpray' reads across onto digital photography better.

Uhh. You'd have had to have been packing a Winchester to use the shoot all week moniker.
Glock 27 is my CC choice.
Mine is from the Dog as I have one as a pet.
We have a lot of new folks posting lately - why not let us know a bit about your screen name?
Hi,
Mine is from an idiot I know. My real name is Matt Damon.
My best,
Mike
wait, I thought NikoDoby was Matt Damon !!
No I said I look like an older yet better looking Brad Pitt. I like taking long walks on the beach and yes, I like Piña Coladas,
and getting caught in the rain too.
Oh, sorry, I was reading a script...
That's ok I was singing a song
lol !
I once worked with Penguins. The Gentoo Penguins always attacked me. I became known by a few as Gentoo because of my dis-functional relationship with those wretched birds.
No explanation required!!!
my name is the display name :)
KAOS is the moniker by which my college marching band section was known. I adopted it for the forum on the consideration that it's unlikely that someone else would be using it, and it gets the term out there. I know that it's a similarity with both a word that starts with a "c" and a Roger Waters album "Radio K.A.O.S.", but I like it.
Flickr account is kaos_phalt, which I find to be a highly entertaining play on the concatenation of "kaos" and "asphalt" (the industry in which I work).
Latin
1.aetas = an age, stage, period of life, time, era
I have used it as a tag since I was in high school and had a friend who was a foreign exchange student and new a little latin.
Kudos to warprints for this thread, i like it.
Mine came from being called Chilli as my nickname/stage-name when i was in high school, the "i" because I like generally like Apple products and Pepper because i like food, pepper and chilli peppers and similar to the red hot chilli peppers :) I also like to keep my logins pretty similar to each other as having a billion accounts makes it easier to remember.
I thought you liked the band. :D
Thought of mine when I was making my own watermark. The padlock (in the graphic) is there to "lock" my images. Not that anyone would want to steal them, but I can dream. =) The silly thing is, I haven't used the graphic yet, so the name makes no sense!
The story of my username is connected to a website idea... If ya know the history of the site, you get the history of my username

Not that the site subject matter is over the top, but a key element of the web site is photography.... band, bar, tailgate, event photos and I wanted to keep that seperate from my other non-photo real world.
Back in the 90's I was really into mountainbikes. Being 6'7" My bikes have been custom built to fit my height. Whenever people came up to me on the trail they would say, "Man that is a big ass bike".
A BMW motorcycle F650 Funduro, my first motorcycle. Fun and enduro(short for endurance race). (Avatar is of famous Afghan girl photo by photographer Steve McCurry)
