my D90 mem card suddenly got weird.the green light does not light up when i insert the card and does not show ERR status on the LCD unlike before, instead it keeps the current image no that can be stored. when i turned on the camera without MEM card it gives me CHA error. I tried the same memory card with my d70s and its fine. and i tried other mem card with d90 and it is still the same. i contacted Nikon they say that PNY is not compatible..when in fact i've been using it for more than a month and even with sandisk it's giving me this problem..

Welcome to the forum, ionphoenix. I'm not sure I understand your problem because usually the CHA message comes up when you have a card in that it can't read. Are you saying that comes up with no card in the camera?
One thing that happens to me every once in a while is I get the CHA message if I put in this one certain card that I have (all others are fine). The solution was to push that card into the slot quickly. That sounds weird, but as long as I remember to do that I never get the error message.

yeah even without the card it shows up.. but when i inserted the card it works fine.. it's complicated honestly.. before when i insert the card the green light would light up and show the available space on the lcd. now it's giving an error..but it works fine..it's really weird.
