Just having a little fun poster. Whenever someone asks a question like, "what camera should I get" or "which camera is better X or Y" or "what lens should I get" or "what lens should I buy next", forum members tend to always say "get a D90 with a 35mm f1.8 lens". As if all other cameras and lenses Nikon makes are useless for photography :^)
The D70, D70S, D50, D40, D40X, D60, D80, D5000, D3000, D300, etc. etc. are great cameras too. And there's nothing wrong in having only the 18-55 kit lens or buying the 18-200. There really isn't a "magical" one camera, one lens combination.
Although, yes, the D90 with 35mm f1.8 does come close to riding off into the sunset with a Unicorn :^)

Yeah, but should I buy it NOW or wait?

haha nice!
D5000 is pretty damn nice. But only the flip screen makes it appealing for me.

Ok, but I'm snapping cats playing in the dark. Should I wait for the 35 f/1.4, or make up the extra stop with a D700?

Didn't you hear? Once the D300s came out, all D100s and D200s stopped working. ;-)
