The Sunlight isn't really helping that shot either, I like the composition but the lighting is messed up (IMO).

I started out wanting a silhouette, but the light wasn't bright enough to overpower the inside lighting (which I couldn't turn off) as much as I wanted. I decided instead to pop a flash off the ceiling off-camera left via CLS to light the dress.

    Duelling Nikons.

Not posed. We spotted each other at the same time and fired. Poor girl, she never had a chance.

Looks good to me jonny, a little brighter than one would naturally desire for the background, but otherwise nicely done!

Bad Ass Treckie. Normally I'm not into bird photos, but I have to love our National bird.

To the left is a large water fontain that is creating that curtain-like effect from mid-way to the top of the photo and which is creating the rainbow. Unforunately it was impossible to include the fountain without losing the rainbow.

Thanks, foofie. It's one of those toys where you can leave an impression of things in all of these pins. I don't know what they're called.

It's my first and I love it, however that being said, I am in desperate need of a light meter. Also to be honest I am still not at ALL used to the mirroring of the viewing screen, and it makes it really hard for me to get things level. That being said I have very bad spacial reasoning, so that doesn't help, haha.
On top of that since I'm not at school right now I can't make my own prints (and obviously the nikon cool scan won't scan 120 :) ) so I'm stuck trying to scan in the negs or the shop made prints in a flat bed and it's all just a hassle and kind of annoying.

BUT, all that being said, it is a beautiful camera and I love shooting with it, i'll just enjoy it a lot more when I'm back at school.

thanks too, i like the image, there are some others on the roll that I like a lot more, but am having a hard time getting scans that I like of them, but if i do, I'll be sure to post more. It's weird coming from shooting 35 and being able to just scan them when I'm home and can't make prints.

sorry everyone for the lengthy post :)
