I have 'upgraded' from a D90 to a D300s.
I miss the 'easy ISO' function on the D90, where I could change ISO with the Main Command Dial whilst in A mode, ie. I could change ISO with only the right thumb, whilst shooting, with the camera up to my eye, perhaps whilst zooming the lens with my left.
With the D300s, I have to use two hands, the left to press ISO and the right to change ISO making it difficult to change ISO without taking the camera from my eye. Impossible to zoom with the left hand, at the same time, in any case.
All in all, the easy ISO feature meant quicker (and easier!) changes of ISO while the camera was up to my eye whilst trying to capture a fast moving subject.
AUTO ISO is useful but I prefer to have control over the ISO in a variety of situations.
Does anyone know how to activate this feature in a D300s? It should be achieveable by a software/firmware upgrade... Nikon, are you listening?
