I have a half a brick of Tri-X that's been laying around for a few years. I know that with time and temperature, film loses speed and contrast. If kept unrefrigerated, at room temperature (along with slight seasonal variation), how long until it's not worth exposing?
How long does unexposed Tri-X and color negative "last?"

A lot depends on when film was made. Tri X has change elmultions several times over the years. But in manner you described of storage conditions, you may get 5 years after expiration date on package. I'd test a roll and see how it comes out, it may suprise you. Color iS a whole differant bag.
