Great Denisa! Thank you for taking the time to come forward to claim your work. We appreciate it! You've got some nice images and i hope you give your "friend" "Osiris" a good stern talk about making things up and trying to decieve people with your work. At least now everyone knows the truth! The only issue I have with that is switch the position. I know the mounting screw on the MB-D10 is in about the same place and it gets in the way of gripping the camera in vertical use if you have big hands.

yeah it's rendered just like i ve said before. a little dusty made it perfect.
and Denisa, the texture of the body is looping, it would be more perfect if you made it random.

Denisa - seriously slick renderings, would be cool if the D4 actually does ergonomically change. . .I doubt it, given how Nikon's pretty conservative and hasn't change their body design THAT drastically since the F5, lol!
Studio/SeeFX - awesome and enlightening debate! I'm inclined to believe Studio though simply because he's posted work on here, discussed other issues, and doesn't seem like a proverbial internet troll. Regardless, I know nothing about video equip and have enjoyed the fruitful discussions. . .

The f8 autofocus sensor makes me feel this is a little fake- Nikon doesn't usually address this although Canon usually does, and the big uproar (so to speak) about the 1dX is that is no longer has f8 sensors.

Why not? It makes sense, with teleconverter use with the exotic primes you can easily get an F8 aperture.

Hi all,
I know that is awfully premature, but does anyone have a guess as to the D4's initial price? Similar to D3x? Is that the thinking?
It doesn't seem to have _a lot_ of new technology (at first blush). I don't know what the R&D costs Nikon is asking folks to pony up for; IOW, it seems to offer a mild upgrade for some needed video enhancements (and my hats off to Nikon for that, but it is a bit late, so fair warning, you better get it {all of it} right this time) I'm not sure that the camera is really going to demand the big bucks.
This is coming from the King of the fanboys, so from a pure marketing strategy, Nikon should look at perhaps putting this camera out at a bargain price to shore up some sore points from some bad blood made by perceived missed promises over the last year or two.

Mike: Of course, I don't know. But I will guess the D4 price will be closer to $6,000 than to $8,000. It seems like the D4 will be more of a D3s replacement than a D3x replacement (look at those high ISO numbers suggesting an effort to produce even cleaner higher ISO images than the D3s thus making the D4 a desirable successor to the D3s for pros shooting sports). Assuming the D800 does have a 36 megapixel sensor (or a D900 version has such a sensor), Nikon may tweak that high megapixel FX sensor for a D4x version of the D4 and charge $8,000 for that version. Let's hope so. I don't think there is much hope for a D4 price under $5,000 so I would guess around 6 grand.
